Google Announces +1 Recommendations Feature on Websites Across The World
Google has brought a new feature on Google + which will be rolled out to the users over the next few weeks. The +1 recommendation feature enables users to check new apps and information on the website they visit.
When a user hovers over the +1 button, recommendation for other content on the website will be seen. These recommendations will work for all users whether or not they are signed into Google +. This feature highlights website content that is popular among other Google+ users.
Just like when we visit the Chrome Web Store and look at +1 recommendation on the Gmail app, we find related apps and recommendations from friends. The new Google + recommendation feature will work in the same manner across the web.
The Google Engineering Manager Julie Farago said on the official Google+ Developers blog, “+1’ing something has always been a fun and lightweight way to engage with online content. It’s also a powerful discovery tool, making it easier for friends to find the best content by showing social annotations in search results and ads, and now we’re taking it to the next level.”
This feature is presently available at the Google+ Platform Preview.
